Workcover Physiotherapy FAQs
Yes — our physiotherapists provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for workplace injuries under WorkSafe (WorkCover) Victoria.
Not necessarily. If you require time off work, you will need an initial Work Capacity Certificate from your GP, and your WorkCover claim must be approved or pending approval. Future certificate of capacity for time off work or modified duties can be supplied by your physiotherapist.
WorkCover typically covers physiotherapy consultations, exercise programs and some equipment when clinically required. Some equipment require prior approval from your case manager.
We assess your injury, outline a treatment plan, discuss return-to-work goals, and communicate with your GP and workplace (with consent) to support safe recovery.
Yes. We focus on functional rehabilitation, graded strengthening and capacity building to help you safely return to your duties.
You may need to self-fund appointments until approval is confirmed. Once approved, WorkCover will reimburse sessions
Yes — we provide physiotherapy for people injured in transport accidents under TAC (Transport Accident Commission).
No. However, TAC requires your accident to be registered and your claim accepted. We can help you check your eligibility if needed.
If your claim is approved, TAC generally covers physiotherapy sessions and exercise programs Out-of-pocket costs may apply with some of our physiotherapists.
Treatment may include hands-on therapy, strengthening, mobility work, pain management strategies, vestibular rehabilitation (if dizziness is present), and staged return-to-work or return-to-activity planning.
