Rebekah Adams

Physiotherapist — general musculoskeletal, Clinical Pilates, with special interests in neurological rehabilitation and cancer care

Rebekah — known to everyone as Bec — is a physiotherapist whose day-to-day clinical work covers musculoskeletal care across the lifespan, with a particular fondness for working with older adults. Alongside this, neurological rehabilitation is her clinical passion, and she sees a select number of neuro patients each week.

Bec  leads our Friday aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) sessions and runs Physiolates and Fit For Life group  sessions through the week.

About Rebekah

Bec completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at La Trobe University and has built experience across general musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, falls and balance, and cancer rehabilitation.

In day-to-day clinical work, Bec sees a broad mix of general musculoskeletal presentations — back, neck, shoulder, hip, and knee pain — with a particular affinity for working with older adults navigating osteoarthritis, post-surgical recovery, falls and balance concerns, and the strength and conditioning that supports active ageing. Her calm, practical, and adaptable manner suits patients whose needs evolve over time.

Neurological rehabilitation is Bec’s clinical passion, and she sees a small number of neurological patients each week — Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke recovery, functional neurological disorder, and other movement disorders. She is also experienced in delivering physiotherapy through home-visit and NDIS pathways where that makes more sense than attending the clinic.

Bec is DMA Clinical Pilates certified — grounding her Physiolates teaching in the most current movement-rehabilitation evidence. Alongside her individual clinical work, she leads our Friday aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) sessions and our Physiolates and Fit For Life group strength and conditioning classes — providing structured, supervised ongoing exercise for patients across our practice.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rebekah

Bec's day-to-day clinical caseload is general musculoskeletal physiotherapy — back, neck, shoulder, hip, and knee presentations, post-injury and post-surgical rehabilitation, and care for older adults. She particularly enjoys working with older people through osteoarthritis, recovery from surgery, and the strength and conditioning that supports healthy ageing.

Yes — neurological rehabilitation is Bec's clinical passion, and she sees a small number of neuro patients each week. If you have a condition such as Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, stroke, or functional neurological disorder, please mention this when booking so we can give you the right amount of appointment time.

Yes. Sunbury & Gisborne Physiotherapy accepts self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. We are not a registered NDIS provider and cannot accept agency-managed participants.

Yes. Home-visit physiotherapy is available in selected suburbs for patients who can't attend the clinic — particularly important for people with neurological conditions, mobility limitations, or who are recovering from surgery. Contact our team to check whether home visits are available in your area.

Physiolates is a physiotherapist-led, Clinical Pilates-based small-group class. Bec is DMA Clinical Pilates certified meaning her classes are grounded in current movement-rehabilitation evidence rather than generic Pilates programming. Exercises are selected and modified based on your physiotherapy assessment.

Cancer rehabilitation supports people during and after cancer treatment to maintain strength, manage treatment side-effects (including fatigue, deconditioning, and movement restriction), and return to the activities they value. It's not the same as oncology — it's about rehabilitation for the person living with or beyond cancer.
