Home Visit Physiotherapy FAQs
Mobile physiotherapy — also known as home visit physiotherapy — involves your physiotherapist coming to your home to provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. It is just as effective as clinic-based care for many conditions.
Your physiotherapist brings essential equipment and tailors your program to your home environment, ensuring you receive high-quality, personalised support without needing to travel.
We provide mobile physiotherapy in Sunbury, Diggers Rest, Gisborne, New Gisborne, Bulla and Riddells Creek.
We also visit Macedon, Mount Macedon, Romsey, Lancefield, Taylors Lakes and Hillside, with an additional travel charge for extended distance.
Home-based physiotherapy is effective for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Strength, balance and mobility training
- Falls prevention
- Chronic pain or persistent musculoskeletal conditions
- Neurological or age-related mobility challenges
- Acute injuries where travelling is difficult
We tailor every session to your home environment and personal goals.
Your physiotherapist will complete a thorough assessment, provide hands-on treatment where appropriate, teach exercises using your home setup, and guide you through functional tasks such as stairs, transfers, walking, or balance activities.
Programs are individualised and progressive, ensuring safe and meaningful improvements.
