Jayson Ilang Ilang

Jayson graduated from Melbourne University with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy.  Prior to this he completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from RMIT.

During his studies Jayson gained valuable experience completing his training at major hospitals within Melbourne. A passion for helping others has led him to volunteer in Vietnam providing physiotherapy to infants, children and young adults with various developmental conditions. Jayson also has recent experience working at St. Vincent’s hospital helping post-operative orthopaedic and neurological patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Jayson has a strong interest in sporting injuries, spinal and shoulder conditions and over the last couple of years has worked closely with the VAFA club Westbourne Grammarians as well as volunteering for various sporting events. Jayson believes that the key to effective rehabilitation and future injury prevention is to empower patients to take control of their own conditions. Placing an emphasis on individualised strength and conditioning exercises and combining this with manual therapy to ensure that patients walk out in control of their pain.

Outside of physiotherapy, Jayson enjoys basketball, badminton, cricket and is a mad Essendon supporter. Away from sports, he enjoys photography, playing the drums, spending time with family and his Staffy Boma.
